Double Feature is a series of constructed film stills composed from individual frames grabbed from Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless (1951) and Gillo Pontecorvo’s The Battle of Algiers (1966). Patricia, a young American woman selling the New Herald Tribune on the streets of Paris (played by Jean Seberg) has been displaced from her iconic stroll up and down the Champs-Elysees with Jean_Paul Belmondo in Breathless. She has been relocated to the war torn streets of Algiers during their struggle for independence from French rule as depicted in The Battle of Algiers.
