Paul Laffoley vintage 2009
On the occasion of Laffoley’s first European retrospective, a large scale poster was produced. Having been listed as sold out for an entire decade, we discovered a case of the original printing from 2009 which we are making available. Organized by the Palais du Tokyo, Paris, Laffoley had his first European retrospective which opened October 15, 2009 entitled “Chasing Napoleon” that included several one person installations in addition to the Laffoley exhibition. Laffoley was presented by 17 large works from 1965 to 2005. Marc-Olivier Wahler was the director and curator of the exhibition along withJulien Fronsacq. The Kali Yuga, 1965, was Paul’s first fully realized composition. The Palais du Tokyo project was followed by further survey exhibitions at the Hamburger Bahnhoff, Berlin, and the Hayward Gallery, London.
